A cultural concept and a living thing
(dansk nedenfor)
Aleksandr Dugin is said to be the head of the Russian world ("Russkiy Mir") and he is asked about where the borders are, in relations to Ukraine. For him, it is not a matter of Russian territory, it is a cultural concept.
Is the Russian world ("Russkiy Mir") in a revolutionary attempt to recreate or expand the Russian borders to the old Soviet Union or the "Russian Empire"? In Western media it has been claimed so several times, but the man who is credited as being the brain behind the idea denies it. Jesper Larsen, journalist of dkdox.tv, interviewed the Russian philosopher and political analyst, Alexandr Dugin, in Moscow.
The cultural concept Aleksandr Dugin mentions, he believes, is incompatible with the Westphalian borders established at the end of the Third World War in 1648. A war that resulted in, among other things, national sovereignty over nationally owned borders.
He also believes that we should see the border as a living thing, adding that if we try to draw a border line through Ukraine, or incorporate parts of Eastern Europe into Western civilization, it is an act of violence.

En krig som resulterede i bl.a. nationalstaters suverænitet over egne grænser.
